IT CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING STAGES: 1) COOLING TO A TEMPERATURE OF -60 C A SOLUTION OF (DL) BOC-2, 6-C-DIMETHYLTYROSIL-(D)-METHIONINE IN DIMETHYLFORMAMIDE AND N-METHYLMORPHOLINE. 2 ) ADD ISOBUTYL CHLOROFORMATE TO THE SOLUTION AND STIR WHILE RAISING THE TEMPERATURE TO -50 C. 3 ) ADD GLYCYL-PHENYL-ALANYL-GAMMA-AMINOBUTYRATE HYDROCHLORIDE IN DIMETHYLTHOMAMIDE MAINTAINING THE TEMPERATURE AT -20 C. 4 ) STIR THE MIXTURE AT -10 C FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES. 5) WARM TO ROOM TEMPERATURE AND KEEP THE REACTION MIXTURE AT THAT TEMPERATURE FOR 20 HOURS. 6) ADD COLD POTASSIUM BISULPHATE TO THE MIXTURE TO GIVE THE FINAL PRECIPITATE THAT IS WASHED WITH WATER AND DRIES. |
