titleOfInvention "PROCEDURE OF PREPARATION OF A COMPLEX INOSINA- (L) 5-HTP".
abstract PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING INOSINE- (L) 5-HTP COMPLEXES CONSTITUTED BY ASSOCIATIONS OF 5-HTP WITH DERIVATIVES OF PURIC AND / OR PYRIMIDINE AND / OR PYRIDIC BASES. IT CONSISTS OF THE REACTION OF EQUIMOLECULAR QUANTITIES OF INOSINE AND OF (OL) 5-HTP, IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION AT A TEMPERATURE NEAR 70 C; FOLLOWED BY COOLING TO ROOM TEMPERATURE AND CRYSTALIZATION TO A TEMPERATURE CLOSE TO 5 C. THE MOTHER WATERS ARE PASSED THROUGH STRONG ACID TYPE CHANGING RESINS; IT IS ELUTED WITH DILUTED SOLUTION OF HYDRAZINE HYDRATES AND RACEMIZED AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 150 C AND 200 C. THESE COMPOUNDS HAVE PHARMACOLOGICAL APPLICATIONS TO CORRECT THE DEFICIT OF SEROTONIN METABOLISM.
