PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING XYLITE DERIVATIVES, OF FORMULA (I), IN WHICH R, R, R, R, R AND R MAY BE SEVERAL TYPES OF RADICALS. IT CONSISTS OF THE REACTION OF A COMPOUND OF FORMULA (II) WITH A COMPOUND OF FORMULA R R CHX, IN WHICH R -R HAVE THE SAME MEANING AS IN FORMULA (I); AND X AND Y ARE HALOGEN OR THE OZ GROUP, Z BEING HYDROGEN, AN ALKALINE METAL OR AN EQUIVALENT OF AN ALKALINE EARTH. THE REACTION IS EFFECTED IN THE PRESENCE OF A BASE AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 0 C AND 150 C. A COMPOUND OF FORMULA (III) CAN ALSO BE REACTED WITH A COMPOUND OF FORMULA RR CO ORR CO, OR WITH COMPOUNDS OF FORMULA (IV) OR ( V). THESE COMPOUNDS HAVE APPLICATIONS IN AGRICULTURE AS PLANT GROWTH REGULATORS. |
