abstract PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING NEW DERIVATIVES OF PIRAZOLE, WITH HERBICIDAL EFFECT. IT CONSISTS OF REACTING 1,3-DIMETHYL-4- (2,4-DICHLOROBENZOIL) -5-HYDROXY-PIRAZOLE WITH A GENERAL FORMULA (II) ACID HALIDE. THE COMPOUND (I) IS OBTAINED IN WHICH X REPRESENTS A HALOGEN AND R IS A HALOGEN ATOM OR AN ARYL GROUP THAT MAY BE REPLACED BY HALOGEN OR BY C <- ALKYL. THE REACTION CAN BE CARRIED OUT IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ACID ACCEPTOR, AT TEMPERATURES BETWEEN -20 C AND THE BOILING POINT OF THE REACTION MIXTURE. THE PRESSURE TO WHICH THE REACTION TAKES PLACE IS THE ATMOSPHERIC, ALTHOUGH IT CAN BE EFFECTED TO OTHERS MORE HIGH OR REDUCED.
