PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING A CATALYST CONTAINING MAGNESIUM AND TITANIUM. IT CONSISTS OF OBTAINING A PRECURSOR COMPOSITION OF FORMULA (MG) MTI1 (OR9NXP (ED) Q, IN WHICH R IS ALKYL, AROMATIC DERIVATIVE C1-14 OR COR HIGH, BEING R ELEVATED, THE SAME AS R; X IS CHLORINE , BROMINE OR IODINE; ED IS AN ELECTRON DONOR; M IS VALUE 0.5-56; N IS VALUE 0-2; P IS VALUE 2-116; AND Q IS VALUE 2-85. THE COMPOSITION IS OBTAINED BY DISSOLVING AT LEAST ONE MAGNESIUM COMPOUND AND ONE OF TITANIUM IN AN ELECTRON DONATOR. THE COMPOSITION IS IMPREGNATED ON A POROUS SUPPORT AND IS PARTIALLY ACTIVATED WITH NO MORE THAN 10 MOLES OF AN ACTIVATOR COMPOUND PER MOL OF TITANIUM.
