abstract | PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING 2,6-DICHLORO-4-NITROANILINE. IT CONSISTS OF CHLORINATION BY GASEOUS CHLORINE OF PARANITROANILINE IN AQUEOUS HYDROCHLORIC ACID SOLUTION, WITH BOILING. THE REACTION TAKES PLACE AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 95 AND 110 DEGREES CENTIGRADE. THE CONCENTRATION OF THE ACID MEDIUM RANGES BETWEEN 4 AND 7.5 N. PREFERENTIALLY WORKING WITH A CONCENTRATION OF 1 MOL OF AMINE PER LITER OF HYDROCHLORIC ACID. IT IS NECESSARY THAT AT THE END OF THE OPERATION THE MEDIUM IS NOT OVERSTURTED, SINCE IT WOULD BE SO, THE ACID WOULD EXCESS AND COMPETITION WITH THE CHLORINE IN ITS PASSAGE TOWARDS THE LIQUID, WHICH WOULD INCREASE THE DURATION OF THE REACTION. |
