THE REACTION IS CARRIED OUT IN A POLAR, INERT SOLVENT, SUCH AS ETHANOL, AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 3 AND 150 C. THESE COMPOUNDS HAVE APPLICATIONS IN AGRICULTURE AS HERBICIDES AND PLANT GROWTH REGULATORS. |
