PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING ACETIC ACID DERIVATIVES AND ITS PHYSIOLOGICALLY COMPATIBLE SALTS, OF FORMULA (I), IN WHICH X IS OXYGEN OR SULFUR, R1 IS LOWER HYDROGEN OR ALKYL AND R2 MAY BE ONE OF VARIOUS TYPES. IT CONSISTS OF THE CYCLING REACTION OF A COMPOUND OF FORMULA (II), IN WHICH R3 IS HYDROGEN OR LOWER ALKYL AND X AND R1 ARE THE SAME AS IN FORMULA (I). CYCLING CAN BE CARRIED OUT DIRECTLY AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 50 AND 150 DEGREES CENTIGRADE, IN THE PRESENCE OF A COMMON CONDENSING AGENT, OR THROUGH THE FORMATION OF AN ACID HALIDE AND FRIEDEL-CRAFTS REACTION. |
