PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING ARYLOXIALCANOIC ACIDS AND ITS DERIVATIVES. IT CONSISTS OF REACTING AN ALKALINE METAL SALT, OPTICALLY ACTIVE, OF A HALOGEN-2-ALKANOIC ACID WITH 2 TO 3 CARBON ATOMS, ON AN ALKALINE METAL SALT OF A PHENOL. THEN, AND OPTIONALLY, THE SALT OBTAINED IS TRANSFORMED INTO THE OPTICALLY ACTIVE ARYLOXIALCANOIC COMPOUND. THE ALKALINE METAL SALT OF ARYLOXIALCANOIC ACID IS PREPARED BY REACTING AN AQUEOUS OR HYDROORGANIC SOLUTION OF THE OPTICALLY ACTIVE ALKALINE METAL SALT OF HALOGEN-2-ALKANOIC ACID. |
