abstract PROCEDURE FOR THE RECOVERY AND REUSE OF A CATALYST FOR OXIDATION BASED ON HEAVY METALS, COMING FROM THE WITTEN DIMETHYL TEREPHTHALATE PROCESS, PART OF HIGH BOILING POINT DISTILLATION RESIDUES, RESULTING FROM OXYCLITION LEAKAGE CATALYCLE -XYLENE AND METHYL P-TOLUILATE. IT IS BASED ON THE TREATMENT OF THE AQUEOUS, ACID EXTRACT, THE CATALYST, CONTAINING 0.2-20 GRAMS OF COBALT / 1 AND, EVENTUALLY, 0.05-10 GRAMS OF MANGANESE / 1 AND 0.05-10 GRAMS OF NICKEL / 1 , WITH A STRONGLY ACIDED CATION EXCHANGER RESIN, IN THE FORM OF ALKALINE METAL, AT HIGH TEMPERATURE, FOLLOWED BY ELUTION AT HIGH TEMPERATURE WITH AQUEOUS SODIUM OR POTASSIUM ACETATE MISOLUTIONS. THE RESIN IS REGENERATED BY TREATMENT WITH THE SAME SOLUTION AT ROOM TEMPERATURE AND AN AQUEOUS CATALYST SOLUTION IS OBTAINED, CONTAINING ADICO ACETIC. THE EXTRACT CONTAINED IN THE CATALYST IS OBTAINED FROM THE ASHES FROM THE COMBUSTION OF THE DISTILLATION RESIDUES OF HIGH BOILING POINT, BY TREATMENT WITH AQUEOUS HYDROGEN PEROXIDE AND PHYDROGENOUS PEROXIDE, AT LEVEL 6 AIORIZATION, UP TO 95C. OF THE FILTERING.
