PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING A TERTIARY AMINE. CONSISTENT OF THE REACTION OF AN ALCOHOL, AN ALDEHYDE OR KETONE WITH AMMONIA OR A PRIMARY OR SECONDARY ALIPHATIC AMINE OF FORMULA R5-NH-R6 IN WHICH R5 AND R6 ARE HYDROGEN OR A RADICAL HYDROGEN, A MIXTURE OF AMMONIA AND HYDROGEN HYDROGEN AND AN AMINE. THE ALCOHOLS, ALDEHYDS OR KETONES USED MAY BE FORMULAS (I) OR (II) OR POLYETERALCOLHOLES; FORMULAS IN WHICH R1, R2, R''1, R''2 CAN BE SEVERAL TYPES OF RADICALS; R3 IS HYDROGEN OR METHYL, R4 IS A C8-18 HYDROCARBON RADICAL AND <N> RATES FROM 1 TO 20.
