PROCEDURE FOR ADHESION OF FIBER OR STEEL PNEUMATIC ROPE TO A VULCANIZABLE RUBBER COMPOSITION. IT CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING OPERATIONS: 1) EMBEDDING OF A TEXTILE FIBER OR METALLIC REINFORCEMENT MATERIAL IN A VULCANIZABLE RUBBER COMPOSITION SUCH AS NATURAL RUBBER, POLYBUTADIENE, POLYISOPRENE, ETHYLENEPROPYLENE ETHERPOLYMER RUBBER, BUTADIENE-STYRENE COPOLYMER RUBBER, BUTADIENE-ACRYLONITROLE, CHLOROPRENE RUBBER, CHLOROSULPHONATED POLYETHYLENE, OR MIXTURES THEREOF. 2) VULCANIZATION OF THE COMPOSITION. THE COMPOSITION CONTAINS IN ADDITION TO THE RUBBER AND THE VULCANIZING AGENT, GLYOXAL, A REACTION PRODUCT OF GLYOXAL, UREA AND FORMALDEHYDE. ADDITIONALLY, THE COMPOSITION MAY CONTAIN FROM 2 TO 14 PARTS BY WEIGHT PER 100 PARTS BY WEIGHT OF A SILICA RUBBER WITH A HIGH SURFACE AREA. |
