STERILIZATION PROCEDURE TO MAKE MOLD, YEAST, BACTERIA, VIRUS OR PROTOZOUS MICROORGANISMS INVIABLE. IT CONSISTS OF TREATING THE MICROORGANISMS WITH A SOLUTION IRRADIATED BY ULTRAVIOLET RAYS OF A WAVE LENGTH LESS THAN 225 NM, AND WITH A HYDROGEN PEROXIDE CONCENTRATION OF MORE THAN 10 PER 100 BY WEIGHT. MICROORGANISM BECOMES INVIABLE BY SYNERGISM BETWEEN RADIATION AND HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. THE MICROORGANISM IS PRESENT IN THE FORM OF SPORES OF B-SUBTILIS OR B-STEAROTHERMOPHILUS AND IS A CONTAMINANT ON THE SURFACE OF FOOD PRODUCTS PACKAGING. OR |
