titleOfInvention PROCEDURE FOR THE POLYMERIZATION OF POLYBUTADIENE IN AN ORGANIC SOLVENT
abstract Process for the polymerization of polybutadiene in an organic solvent, characterized in that butadiene is polymerized in the presence of a catalyst composed of a rare earth carboxylate of formula **(Formula)** an aluminum alkyl A1R43 and/or R42A1H, and a Lewis acid, where in the formulas M denotes a trivalent rare earth element with the order number 57 to 71, R1, R2 and R3 are the same or different and denote alkyl radicals with 1 to 10 carbon atoms, the sum being all carbon atoms, the sum of all carbon atoms in the substituents being 6 to 20, and R4 is an alkyl radical having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, at temperatures from -20 to +150°C.
