abstract Procedure for obtaining surfactant compositions based on two types of polyester, characterized in that it comprises synergistically associating (a) from 5 to 95% by weight of a polyester obtained by condensation of (i) an alkyl- or alkenyl-succinic anhydride with the formula: **(Formula 1)** wherein R is a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon substituent derived from a monoolefin polymer, said polymer chain containing from 40 to 500 carbon atoms and (ii) a polyalkylene glycol having a molecular weight from 400 to 20,000 and is soluble in water to a degree of at least 5% by weight at 25°C, the polyester thus obtained containing from 10 to 80%, preferably from 20 to 60%, by weight of residues of the polyalkylene glycol (ii) ; with (b) 95 to 5% by weight of a polyester obtained by condensation of (iii) an alkyl- or alkenyl-succinic anhydride of the formula: **(Formula 2)** in which R1 is an alkyl or alkenyl radical with 8 to 18 carbon atoms and (iv) a polyalkylene glycol having a molecular weight of 200 to 4,000 and soluble in water to a degree of at least 5% by weight at 25°C, the polyester thus obtained containing 10 to 80%, preferably from 20 to 60% by weight of residues of the polyalkylene glycol (iv); said percentages by weight of components (a) and (b) respectively of the composition being based on the combined weights of those components.
