titleOfInvention PROCEDURE FOR THE PREPARATION OF CATALYSTS FOR THE POLYMERIZATION OF ALPHA-OLEPHINS CH2 = CHR.
abstract 1. Process for the preparation of catalysts for the polymerization of alpha-olefins CH2=CHR, where essentially R is an alkyl radical with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and its mixtures with ethylene, characterized in that it comprises reacting with each other for least, the following two components: a) a solid product consisting of a dihalide of Mg and complexes of said halide with at least one electron donor compound chosen from the classes consisting of esters of oxygenated organic and inorganic acids, the anhydrides, halides and amides of said acids, ethers ROR'' and ketones RCOR'', where R and R'' are the same or different from each other, are alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl radicals with 1 to 18 carbon atoms; where the Mg/Ti ratio between the Mg dihalide and the Ti compound is between 5 and 100, preferably between 10 and 50 and in particular between 15 and 25, the amount of the Ti compound extractable with TiCl4 at 80°C is less than 50% and the molar ratio between the electron donor compound and the Ti compound ranges, after extraction with TiCl4, between 0.2 and 3, preferably between 1 and 2; b) an Al-alkyl compound chosen from Al-trialkyls, Al-alkyl compounds containing two or more Al atoms bonded to each other through an oxygen atom or a nitrogen atom, and Al R3-n compounds (OR'')n, where R is an alkyl radical with 1 to 18 carbon atoms, R'' is an aryl radical ortho-interrupted in the 2,6 position with substituents capable of offering a steric interruption greater than that of the -C2H5 group, or a naphthyl group containing, at least in position 2, a substituent with a higher steric interruption than that of the -C2H5 group, and n is a number between 1 and 2; in which embodiment said Al-alkyl compound is present in at least 85% in uncombined form with an electron donor compound and participates in the reaction in amounts corresponding to a molar ratio with the Ti compound of component a ) between 1 and 30, and in particular between 2 and 20.
