abstract Process for obtaining acrylonitrile copolymers, containing sulfimide groups, for the manufacture of semipermeable membranes, characterized in that (A) from 99 to 50% by weight of acrylonitrile units (B) from 1 to 50% by weight are copolymerized of units of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, copolymerizable with acrylonitrile and containing one or two disulfimide groups, and (C) if appropriate, from 0 to 30% by weight of units of one or more olefinically unsaturated monomers, copolymerizable with acrylonitrile, rising the sum of the percentages to 100%.
