titleOfInvention PROCEDURE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF POLYURETHANE PLASTICS
abstract Process for the production of polyurethane plastics, optionally cellular, characterized in that it comprises reacting (a) polyisocyanates with (b) relatively high molecular weight compounds containing isocyanate-reactive hydrogen atoms, using, optionally in part, as component ( b), polyether polyols having an average molecular weight of 200 to 10,000 and an average hydroxyl functionality of 2 to 7, obtained by reacting one or more alkylene oxides, optionally successively, with a mixture of polyhydric alcohols produced by self-condensation of formaldehyde hydrate, followed by reduction of the condensation products, and which have optionally been mixed with dihydric and / or trihydric alcohols and / or monoamines or polyamines; the reaction of (a) with (b) being carried out in the presence of (c) chain extenders; and optionally in the presence of (d) propellants, catalysts and other known additives.
