titleOfInvention | PROCEDURE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF POLYURETHANE PLASTICS |
abstract | Process for the production of polyurethane plastics, optionally cellular, characterized in that it comprises reacting (a) polyisocyanates with (b) relatively high molecular weight compounds containing isocyanate-reactive hydrogen atoms, using, optionally in part, as component ( b), polyether polyols having an average molecular weight of 200 to 10,000 and an average hydroxyl functionality of 2 to 7, obtained by reacting one or more alkylene oxides, optionally successively, with a mixture of polyhydric alcohols produced by self-condensation of formaldehyde hydrate, followed by reduction of the condensation products, and which have optionally been mixed with dihydric and / or trihydric alcohols and / or monoamines or polyamines; the reaction of (a) with (b) being carried out in the presence of (c) chain extenders; and optionally in the presence of (d) propellants, catalysts and other known additives. |
