abstract | A method for producing a refractory material, which comprises in a first stage mixing a dry refractory material of the siliceous, silica-aluminous or aluminous class with an Al2O3 content for the first two classes between 5% and 50% and for the third between 50% and 90%, for a period of time of 2 to 5 minutes; in a second stage adding a solution or suspension in which the solvent, preferably water, is in an amount of 3% -10% of the refractory material indicated above; in a third stage mixing the resulting paste for a period of time between 5 and 15 minutes; in a fourth stage in which said pasta is cooked at a temperature of 1100-1500 ° C, after being formed into bricks or used in the form of rework; wherein the solution or suspension of said mixture comprises as solute one or more additives selected from a first group formed by silicates, possibly hydrated, of lithium, potassium, magnesium, in an amount comprised between 0.2% and 7% with regarding dry material; from a second group formed by sodium aluminate, sodium, potassium, lithium and magnesium phosphates and phosphoric acid in a total percentage comprised between 0.2% and 7%; and from a third group formed by ferrous and ferric sulfide, ferrous chloride, calcium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, barium sulfate, calcium, magnesium and barium carbonates and dolomite in a percentage between 0.2% and 7%. |
