titleOfInvention PROCEDURE FOR PREPARING OPTICALLY ACTIVE 15-DEOXI-16-HYDROXY-SUBSTITUTED-PROSTANOIC ACIDSŸ
abstract Process for preparing new 15-deoxy-16-hydroxy-16-substituted-protanoic acids and their congeners, as well as for the production of intermediates for their preparation. The new compounds of this invention include the optical antipodes, racemic mixtures and diastereometric mixtures corresponding to the following general formula, whose absolute configuration is that of natural mammalian prostaglandins. The compounds obtained by this invention can be represented by the following general formula and its mirror image: ** (Formula) ** or a racemic mixture of said formula and the mirror image thereof.
