abstract This invention relates to 1- (2-nitro-methphenoxy) -3-t-butylamino-propan-2-ols of formula (I) ** (Formula) ** Where the CH3 moiety can be attached to the 3 05 positions of the benzene ring, and its physiologically acceptable salts. The invention also relates to a method for the preparation of compound (I) and to pharmaceutical compositions with platelet aggregation inhibitory activity, which contain the compound of formula (I) as active principle. It has now surprisingly been found that the compounds of formula (I) can inhibit platelet aggregation, and consequently thrombus formation, in such a way as to allow the compound to be used in the prevention and therapy of thrombosis.
