titleOfInvention A PROCEDURE FOR THE POLYMERIZATION OF CONJUGATED DIES.
abstract Improvements introduced in the object of the main patent No. 438,160 applied for on June 3, 1975 for: "a method of polymerization of conjugated dienes", or copolymerization of conjugated dienes with other conjugated dienes or with vinyl-aromatic compounds, according to which for prepare polymers or copolymers that simultaneously have high contents of trans-1,4 chains and low contents of 1,2 chains, said improvements are characterized in that the monomers are reacted, continuously or discontinuously, in bulk or in solution, in an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic solvent, at a temperature between 20 and 100ÂșC, in the presence of a catalytic composition consisting of an organolithium initiator and a compound cocatalyst comprising a barium, strontium or calcium compound, a organometallic compound of the metals of groups 2 B or 3 A of the periodic classification of the elements of Mend's table eloev, and an alkali metal alcoholate ether or amine.
