A method for the preparation of an aqueous suspension of a substituted benzofuran herbicide comprising 0.05 to 700 g/l of said substituted benzofuran herbicide, having the formula: **(Formula)** (wherein: R1, R2 and R3 are the same or different and are hydrogen or alkyl, either R1 and R2 together or R2 and R3 together form an alkylene chain, R4 is hydroxy, alkoxy, substituted alkoxy, alkenyloxy, alkylthio, substituted alkenyloxy, alkynyloxy, substituted alkynyloxy, aryloxy, substituted aryloxy, the group NR6R7 where R6 and R7 are alkyl or substituted alkyl or together with the nitrogen atom form a heterocyclic ring which may be substituted or unsubstituted. |
