titleOfInvention PROCEDURE FOR THE PREPARATION OF DOUBLE SALTS OF S-ADESONIL-1-METHIONINE.
abstract Procedure for the preparation of the double salts of S-adenosyl-L-methicine, (SAM) with sulfuric acid and para-toluenesolphonic acid, characterized in that it comprises the following phases: a) preparing a concentrated solution of SAM; b) precipitate the SAM existing in the solution acidified with a solution of picrolonic acid, c) dissolve the picrolonate of SAM in a mixture consisting of equal parts by volume of an aqueous solution of equal normality of para-toluenesulfonic acid and sulfuric acid and of a organic solvent partially miscible with water, d) precipitating the SAM salt from the aqueous layer with a ketone or alcoholic solvent totally soluble in water. E) dissolving the precipitated salt in a methanolic solution of toluenesulfonic acid and f) precipitating with an organic para-toluenesulfonic solvent and f) precipitating with an appropriate organic solvent the double salt of SAM with sulfuric acid or para-toluenesulfonic acid.
