titleOfInvention PROCEDURE FOR THE PREPARATION OF 2-CARBALCOXI-AMINO-BENZYMIDAZOLE-5 (6) -PHENILETERES.
abstract Preparation of novel 2-carbalkoxyamino-5(6)-benzimidazole phenyl ethers of the formula I < IMAGE > in which R1 denotes alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, phenyl or p-nitrophenyl R2 and R3, in each case independently of one another, denote hydrogen, hydroxyl, alkoxy having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, halogen, trifluoromethyl, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or carbalkoxy having 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkoxy radical R4 denotes hydrogen or chlorine and X denotes oxygen or sulphur. The compounds of the formula I are useful chemotherapeutics and are suitable for the control of parasitic disorders in humans and animals. They are particularly active against a large number of helminths, their activity being particularly pronounced against gastrointestinal strongylidae. The compounds of the formula I are prepared by reacting appropriately substituted 2-aminobenzimidazoles with carbonic acid esters.
