titleOfInvention PROCEDURE FOR THE PREPARATION OF HETEROCICLIC ETHERS.
abstract Process for the preparation of heterocyclic ethers of formula I, **formula** in which R1 denotes a single nucleus, unsaturated, nitrogenous, heterocyclic ring system, which may additionally contain a sulfur atom and/or a benzene ring condensed therewith, or may be substituted by low molecular weight alkyl or alkoxy, phenylalkyl or phenyl groups; R2 denotes a phenyl radical optionally substituted by low molecular weight alkyl or alkoxy groups, chlorine or bromine atoms, which may also contain 1 to 2 nitrogen atoms in the ring, and A denotes a straight-chain or branched alkylene radical with 2 up to 6 carbon atoms, as well as their physiologically compatible acid addition salts, characterized in that compounds of formula IV **formula** in which X represents a halogen atom or a hydroxysulfonyloxy, alkylsulfonyloxy or arylsulfonyloxy group are reacted, with metal salts, preferably the silver salts of compounds of the formula V R 1 -OH (V) and optionally the salts thus obtained are converted into the free bases or the bases are converted into their acid addition salts.
