Examples thereof include 7- (2'-thienylacetamido)-3-(2''-pyridylthiomethyl)-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid 1''-oxide, 7-(phenylacetamido)-3-(2'-pyridylthiomethyl)-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid 1'-oxide, 7-(phenoxyacetamido)-3-2'-pyridylthiomethyl)-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid 1'-oxide and 7-(5'-amino-5'-carboxyvalerylamido)-3-(2''-pyridylthiomethyl)-3-cephem -4-carboxylic acid 1''-oxide.
