titleOfInvention A PROCEDURE TO PRODUCE ESTERS OF CYCLOPROPA-NONCARBOXYL ACID.
abstract Novel esters (displaying insecticidal activity) of the formula wherein R 1 =H or Me, R 2 =methyl, 2-methyl- 1-propenyl or 2-methoxycarbonyl-1-propenyl when R 1 is H, and R 2 =Me when R 1 =Me R 3 =H or Me, and R 4 =C 1-4 alkylene optionally containing an O or S -atom in its carbon chain, may be made into insecticidal compositions by mixture with inert carriers. which may also be admixed with synergists for pyrethroid, or other active ingredients such as pyrethroids. In the examples these pyrethroids or synergists therefor are: "piperonyl butoxide" (3,4 - methylenedioxy - 6 - propyl benzylbutyldiethylene glycol ether), "sulfoxide" (1,2 - methylenedioxy - 4 - [2 - octylsulfinyl) - propyl] - benzene), "sufroxane" (4 - (3,4 - methylenedioxyphenyl) - 5 - methyl - 1,3 - dioxane), n - propyl - O - propargyl - phenylphosphonate, pyrethrin, allethrin, "phthalthrin", "Sumithion" (RTM) and "chrysron".
