abstract Pharmaceutical preparations effective in the treatment of anaplasmosis and suitable for sterilising the infection with A. marginale contain as active ingredient thiosemicarbazones:- wherein R1 is Me or Et, R2 is H or Me, and R3 and R4, which are different from one another are H, Me or Et. Administration is orally or parenterally. The examples describe preparations containing dimethyl sulphoxide, dimethyl acetamide, propylene glycol, lactose, starch, magnesium stearate and polyoxyethylene sorbitan monolaurate in association with active ingredients.
