abstract Normally solid polyolefins are stabilized with 0À05 to 5 weight per cent of a compound of formula where R is H or OH, R1 is NH, CO or CH and R11 is CH 2 , CH or CO. Specified polymers are of ethylene, propylene, 4-methylpentene-1, 4,4- dimethylpentene - 1, dodecene - 1, 3 - methylbutene-1, butene and pentene-1. In examples polyethylene and polypropylene are stabilized with 5-hydroxy indole, 5-hydroxy oxindole, 3- indazolinone, phenol and 4,41-thio bis(3-methyl- 6-t.-butylphenol).
