abstract | Metal articles are electrostatically coated with a powdered vinyl chloride polymer composition wherein the vinyl chloride polymer composition contains from 0.01 to 10%, by weight, based on the weight of the composition, of at least one antistatic agent selected from sodium cetylsulphate, sodium laurylsulphate, sodium stearylsulphate, polyethylene glycol, and the n-alkyl hydroxy butyramides. The preferred antistatic agent is a mixture of sodium stearylsulphate and sodium cetylsulphate. The metal object may be gratings, fencing, pipes and conduit, strip, carbody parts, corrugated building sheets, grills and furniture. |
