A method for producing a recombinant protein with a decreased level of galactosylation, said method comprising culturing a host cell expressing said protein in a cell culture medium comprising a peracetyl galactose, wherein the peracetyl galactose is α-2-F peracetyl galactose or β-2-F peracetyl galactose, and wherein the concentration of peracetyl galactose in the cell culture medium before seeding is 60 µM. |
