A method (480) for reprocessing an internal channel (420) of a medical device (400), the method comprising: (a) activating (482) a first pump (416) to deliver a detergent to the internal channel for a first predetermined duration ; (b) activating (486) a second pump (426) to supply water to the internal channel to rinse the detergent for a second predetermined duration; (c) activating (488) a third pump (422) to supply pressurized air to the internal channel to purge any remaining water or detergent contained within the internal channel for a third predetermined duration; (d) activating (490) a fourth pump (412) to deliver a predetermined volume of a disinfectant to the internal channel; (e) reactivating (496) the third pump to supply pressurized air to the internal channel to purge disinfectant from the internal channel into a chamber; (f) reactivating (490) the fourth pump to supply an additional volume of disinfectant to the internal channel; and (g) reactivating (496) the third pump to supply pressurized air to the internal channel to purge additional volume of the internal channel disinfectant into the chamber. |
