titleOfInvention Artificial intraocular lens and intraocular pseudophakic contact lens with mechanism to fix by anterior layer of capsular wall
abstract A system comprising: an artificial intraocular lens comprising a first optical lens and a first haptic element configured to be implanted within a capsular bag in an eye; and an intraocular pseudophakic contact lens (100) comprising: a second optical lens (102) configured to at least partially correct a residual refractive error in the eye, the residual refractive error comprising a refractive error that exists in the eye after implantation of the artificial intraocular lens in the eye; second haptic elements (104a, 104b) extending radially from the second optic lens (102) and configured to insert below an anterior layer of a capsular wall in the eye to capture and confine the second haptic elements (104a, 104b) below from the anterior layer and affixing the intraocular pseudophakic contact lens (100) against the artificial intraocular lens; and multiple segments (1612) positioned around the second optic lens (102), a lower surface of each of the segments (1612) located below a posterior surface of the second optic lens (102) of the intraocular pseudophakic contact lens (100), wherein the segments (1612) are configured to raise the second optic lens (102) above the artificial intraocular lens; wherein the anterior surfaces of the second haptic elements (104a, 104b) comprise textured capsular wall engaging surfaces (108) configured to attach the second haptic elements (104a, 104b) to an inner capsular wall surface on the layer previous; and wherein the posterior surfaces of the second haptic elements (104a, 104b) comprise a respective ridge (1410) configured to capture at least one edge of the artificial intraocular lens to affix the intraocular pseudophakic contact lens (100) to the lens. artificial intraocular.
