abstract A method of preparing a single-serving container (100, 300) configured to receive it in a single-serving beverage preparation machine for the rapid extraction of cannabis by use of water, the method comprising: processing cannabis by spraying the cannabis and heating the cannabis in an oven at a temperature between 120 and 140 degrees Celsius for a period of time in the range of 30 to 60 minutes to decarboxylate the cannabis; add the processed cannabis to the single serving container (100, 300); add, to the single-serving container (100, 300), an amount of a lipid-rich food-based extraction agent, wherein the extraction agent is a powder and is solid at room temperature, and seal the container a single portion (100, 300).
