A bone structure displacement apparatus (101) comprising: an expandable member (505, 505 ') that is configured to displace a first portion of a bone structure relative to a second portion of the bone structure when the expandable member ( 505, 505 ') is moved from a folded configuration to an expanded configuration, an elongated assembly including a shaft (503) and an elongated member (504), the shaft (503) defines a lumen, the elongated member (504) is rotatably disposes within the shaft lumen (503), the expandable member (505, 505 ') comprising an inner layer (542, 542') and an outer sleeve (543, 543 ') that is arranged around the inner layer ( 542, 542 ') such that an outer surface of the inner layer (542, 542') is in discontinuous contact with an inner surface of the outer sheath (543, 543 '), a proximal end portion of the inner layer ( 542, 542 ') engages a portion of the distal end of the shaft (503), a portion of the distal end of the inner layer (542, 542 ') engages a portion of the distal end (507) of the elongated member (504) and the expandable member (505, 505') is configured to displace the first portion of the frame bone relative to the second portion of the bone structure when the expandable member (505, 505 ') is moved from the folded configuration to the expanded configuration. |
