titleOfInvention Retrograde blood flow occlusion flushing device
abstract A retrograde blood flow occlusion lavage device (300), comprising: a catheter body (305) having a proximal end (313) and an opposite distal end (315); and at least one lumen or conduit (320, 325, 330, 330 ') delimited longitudinally along the body of the catheter (305); an occluder component (310, 350) that is located near the distal end (315) of the catheter body (305) and that extends radially outward from the catheter body (305); such that the occluder component (310, 350) can be activated to transition from a collapsed or contracted state to an expanded state and so that the occluder component (310, 350) has a larger diameter in its expanded state than it has in its contracted state, so that it is measured from the longitudinal axis of the catheter body (305); a flushing fluid that can be delivered through at least one conduit (330, 330 ') of the catheter body and exiting from a port or opening (335, 335') located in the catheter body; such that the opening (335, 335 ') is located proximally of the occluding component (330, 330'); and characterized by the fact that the device (300) also comprises a mechanical component for capturing clots (605) that can go from a contracted state to an expanded state, so that, in the expanded state, the mechanical component stops Capture clots (605) extends radially outward from the distal section of the catheter body (305) and proximal to the occluder component (335, 335 ').
