abstract | Process for the preparation of polyethercarbonate polyols, which comprises the step of the reaction of alkylene oxide with carbon dioxide in the presence of an initiator compound with H functionality and double metal cyanide catalyst, characterized in that the process comprises the following steps: ( α) If necessary, in a first reactor, pretreat the double metal cyanide catalyst (DMC catalyst) at a temperature of 50 to 200 ° C and / or reduced pressure (absolute) from 10 mbar to 800 mbar, (β) in a first reactor contacting the double metal cyanide catalyst and suspending agent with alkylene oxide obtaining a first reaction mixture; and (γ) continuously adding to a second reactor the first reaction mixture, alkylene oxide, carbon dioxide and, if applicable, H-functional starter compound, where in step (β) it is used as the suspension of at least one H-functional starter compound selected from the group consisting of polyether polyols, polycarbonate polyols, polyestercarbonate polyols, polyether tertiarycarbonate polyols or polyethercarbonate polyols, wherein these H-functional starter compounds each have a hydroxyl number in the range of 3.0 mg KOH / g to 1000 mg KOH / g and wherein the reaction products formed in step (γ) are continuously withdrawn from the second reactor. |
