titleOfInvention | Infusion equipment |
abstract | An infusion set comprising: - a tube (20); - an infusion pump comprising a drug container having a sealing element (260); - a first connector (40), first connector (40) that connects a first end of said tube (20) to an outlet port of said infusion pump, providing fluid communication between the fluid that is being transported by said pump of infusion and said tube (20); and - a second connector (10, 60) connecting a second end of said tube (20) to an administration module (30), providing fluid communication between said tube (20) and said administration module (30); wherein the complete coupling of said first connector (40) and said outlet orifice of said infusion pump actuates the operation of said infusion pump, characterized in that said first connector (40) comprises a protrusion or projection that fits into a slot in the pump and because, when the connector (40) is fully engaged, it pushes a mechanical switch (290) to operate said pump, or comprises a lateral extension (200) which, when the connector (40) is fully engaged , presses down on a cantilever (280), causing the cantilever (280) to move laterally and pushes a mechanical switch (290) to operate said pump, and because said first connector (40) comprises a drilling means (80) to pierce the sealing element (260) of the medicine container, wherein the coupling of said first connector (40) simultaneously actuates the operation of said pump through said switch mechanical tor (290) and perforation of said sealing element (260) by means of said perforation means (80). |
