titleOfInvention Multi-purpose sensor unit for body fluids
abstract Multi-purpose sensor unit (1) for body fluids, the sensor unit comprising: - a measurement chamber (2) extending in an axial direction from an inlet (3) to an outlet (4), the chamber having (2) measuring a cross section with side walls (5, 6) defining a chamber width in a horizontal direction, and with upper and lower walls (7, 8) defining a chamber height in a vertical direction, having each of the side walls (5, 6), the top wall (8) and the bottom wall (7) a respective wall permeability for aqueous solutions; - a first sensor (10a-h) adapted to measure a first parameter of body fluids, the first sensor having a surface (11a-h) of the first sensor exposed to the interior of the measurement chamber in a first axial position, the surface having of the first sensor a first wettability for aqueous solutions; and - a second sensor (20) adapted to measure a second parameter of body fluids, the second sensor having a surface (21) of the second sensor exposed to the interior of the measurement chamber in a second axial position upstream or downstream from the first axial position, characterized in that the surface of the second sensor has a second wettability for aqueous solutions greater than the first wettability; wherein in the second axial position the width of the chamber exceeds the width of the surface of the second sensor, and wherein the measuring chamber in the second axial position (22) has a widening in a horizontal direction compared to the first axial position .
