abstract |
A method, comprising: providing a device (10) comprising: an anterior channel portion (16) containing a first fluid (20); a rear channel portion (18) containing a second fluid (22) different from the first fluid; a vent valve (24) positioned between the anterior and posterior channel portions; while the first and second fluids are in fluid communication with each other, flowing the second fluid in the rear channel portion without flowing the first fluid by applying a pressure gradient when the vent valve is in the open position; and flowing the first fluid from the anterior channel portion to the posterior channel portion after the flow of the second fluid by applying a pressure gradient when the vent valve is in the closed position. |
