Process for the preparation of an aqueous solution of N,N-dimethylglucamine, characterized in that, in the presence of a metal catalyst, an aqueous solution of formaldehyde is added in doses, at a hydrogen pressure of 10-200 bar, to an aqueous solution of N-methylglucamine, where after a hydrogenation with dosage of formaldehyde at 35-65 ºC, another subsequent hydrogenation stage is added without dosage of formaldehyde at 70-110 ºC. |
