Acylation of tyrosine units in peptide compounds. The present invention is directed to a process for the selective modification of tyrosine units present in a peptide sequence, in particular, by incorporating acyl groups in the ortho position of the hydroxyl residue of its aromatic ring. Likewise, the invention also relates to a peptide sequence comprising at least one mono- or di-functionalized tyrosine unit with said acyl group on the aromatic ring, as well as to a pharmaceutical composition comprising said sequence. |
