abstract |
A method for the production of a conjugated diene comprising a reaction step for subjecting a feedstock gas containing a monoolefin having a carbon number of 4 or more to an oxidative dehydrogenation reaction with an oxygen-containing gas molecular in the presence of a catalyst, in order to obtain a reaction product gas containing a conjugated diene; and a cooling step for cooling the reaction product gas, wherein in the cooling step, a cooling agent is supplied to a cooling column and contacted with the reaction product gas; the cooling agent discharged from the cooling column is then cooled by a heat exchanger; a precipitate dissolved in the cooling agent precipitates inside the heat exchanger and is recovered; and the cooling agent from which the precipitate has been recovered is circulated to the cooling column, where the liquid linear velocity in the heat exchanger for precipitation of the precipitate is 1.0 m/s or less. |
