An apparatus, comprising: (a) an injector assembly (700) (700), wherein the injector assembly (700) comprises: (i) a body (704), (ii) a flexible cannula (702) extending distally from the body (704), wherein the cannula (702) is dimensioned to be inserted through an incision in a patient's eye, and (iii) a needle (708) conveniently disposed in the cannula ( 702); and (b) an injector driver (600; 880), wherein the injector driver (600; 880) is operable to drive the needle (708) longitudinally with respect to the flexible cannula (702); and (c) a magnetic pad assembly (460), wherein the magnetic pad assembly (460) is sized and configured to be positioned on the forehead of a patient, and the magnetic pad assembly (460) includes an adhesive; and (d) a fluid source assembly in fluid communication with the needle; wherein the body (704) of the injector assembly (700) is configured to be removably secured to the magnetic pad assembly (460), and the injector assembly (700) further comprises: (iv) a magnet (706) , wherein the magnet (706) is configured to removably secure the body (704) to the magnetic pad assembly (460) by magnetic attraction, where the magnet (706) is held in a stationary position with respect to the body (704 ); wherein the injector driver (600; 880) can be driven to drive the needle (708) longitudinally with respect to the magnet (706). |
