abstract | Polarizing lens for sunglasses, which is formed by laminating a transparent protective sheet using an adhesive layer on each surface of a polarizing film that is made from polyvinyl alcohol resin and is stretched and tinted with organic dichroic dyes ; bending the resulting laminate to provide spherical or aspherical surfaces thereto to obtain a polarizing sheet; and by injecting a transparent resin on a surface of the curved polarizing sheet, in which the polarizing film is tinted by combined dichroic organic dyes, characterized in that the dichroic ratio of the film at the optical absorption wavelengths of 450 nm, 550 nm and 650 nm falls within the range of 5 to 14, where the combined organic dichroic dyes are one of the following groups: 1) CI Direct Yellow 130, C.I. Direct Red 243 and C.I. Direct Blue 274; 2) C.I. Direct Yellow 50, C.I. Direct Red 83 and C.I. Direct Blue 78; 3) C.I. Direct Yellow 130, C.I. Direct Orange 39, C.I. Direct Red 243, C.I. Direct Red 81 and C.I. Direct Blue 274; and 4) C.I. Direct Orange 39, C.I. Direct Red 81 and C.I. Direct Blue 237. |
