abstract Use of a bar composition to improve lather when washed in a water having a water hardness greater than 25 ° French hydrometric degrees, wherein said bar comprises: a) 30-90% by weight of the bar composition of alkali metal salt or alkanol ammonium fatty acid soap, wherein: (i) the ratio of C10 chain length fatty acid soap to C12 chain length fatty acid soap is about 0.5: 1.0 to about 1.5: 1.0, wherein capric and lauric acids are present in an amount of at least 3% by weight of the bar composition; (ii) wherein the C14 chain length fatty acid is from 0 to at most about 3.5% by weight of the bar composition; (iii) wherein the amount of unsaturated C18 is about 25 to 35% by weight of the tablet composition; and (iv) wherein the amount of C18 unsaturated fatty acids other than oleic is from 0 to at most about 5% by weight of the tablet composition, b) from about 0.1 to about 15% in weight of the polyol pellet composition; c) from about 0.1 to 25% by weight of mineral or organic particles; and d) from about 10% to 30% by weight of water.
