abstract |
A medical balloon (1900) comprising an inflatable balloon element (1910); a mold (1920) having an outer surface and extending along at least a portion of the inflatable balloon element for at least a portion of its length and having a first stretch profile and a second stretch profile; wherein the mold (1920) includes at least one opening (1921), wherein the inflatable balloon element extends outwardly around the at least one opening relative to the outer surface of the mold when inflated to the first stretch profile, and wherein the inflatable balloon element forms a smooth surface around the at least one opening relative to the outer surface of the mold when inflated to the second stretch profile; wherein the medical balloon further comprises a therapeutic agent underlying the mold, wherein at least a portion of the therapeutic agent is transported out of at least one opening on the balloon that extends through the opening; and wherein the inflatable balloon element is configured to perfuse. |
