A method of determining whether the genotype of a cruciferous vegetable plant is associated with an increased level of glucosinolate, comprising obtaining a sample of nucleic acids from said plant or a portion thereof and detecting in said nucleic acids a polymorphism at the locus Myb28 that is genetically linked to an increased level of glucosinolate, wherein the Myb28 polymorphism and locus that confer an increased glucosinolate trait are genetically linked and exhibit an LOD score greater than 3.0. |
