abstract | A method for synchronizing ovulation time and insemination time in a gilt sow, the method comprising the steps of: administering to the gilt an estrous synchronization hormone; administering a single dose of gonadotropin-releasing hormone to the gonadotropin-releasing hormone to synchronize ovulation, without having to administer any other hormone to synchronize ovulation, wherein to synchronize oestrus, gonadotropin-releasing hormone is administered on the fifth day after last daily administration of the hormone; and inseminate the gilt sow, without checking for oestrus, only once on the sixth day after the last daily administration of oestrus synchronization hormone. |
